All, am thinking of getting (well Sussed out my Chrissy pressie) an awning for the side of the car. Looking at both the ARB and the Tigerz11 awnings. Does anyone have any feedback on either of these first hand?

Cheers and Merry Christmas

Do you have the barn doors? Reckon the lift up doors on the cruiser may hit it and on the ute my bars are on the cab. Like the idea of the wings though

Was talking to my ARB guys the other week while having my UHF replaced, (original don't be rude itself) he said the Rhino awning was a better product (his opinion) over the ARB awning, better mounts he said, my mate has a Rhino seems to be a good bit of kit,

Haven't had a look at Tigerz11

Arb for me, never had a problem good length velcro along the side horizontal poles to stop water pooling.

The bag has never leaked when packed up and traveling in rain (some others do) and the bag isnt big and bulky either.

These are my experiences with Arb, sorry I cant comment on the Tigerz

Ours is a different brand so I can't comment on the ones you've mentioned, but make sure it has metal fittings on the end and not plastic (where the poles connect/hinge off the main frames). They are awesome - we pulled up in a treeless, sunny park on Sunday and less than a minute later we were sitting down to our fish and chips in the shade :)

I have a Tigerz11 awning on my Swift as a replacement for the Jayco awning it came with. 5 minutes to put up; 5 minutes to pack up. Been used twice so far. Also have one on the side of my 4BY. No complaints at all.

I have the Oztrail RV Shade Awning, so I can't Comment on the Tigerz or the ARB. I bought it on special from BCF about 2 1/2 years ago. Since then it has never been off the car and it has done dozens of camping trips including a 4 week trip to the cape last year. It is still in perfect condition (apart from some red dirt stains) and I can happily recommend it. I have heard of people having issues with the cam-locks on the support legs, but I never have.

Here is an interesting thread from another forum, it discusses the Oztrail, ARB, Tigerz 11 and a few others.

I have a Tigerz11 and found this clip on annex at Rays a couple of weeks' ago. All worked an absolute treat and went up/came down within 5 minutes. The annex will fit to any 2.0 x 2.5m awning.
