Hey Guys,
Well we have been on here a few months and never did the intro. My wife and i come from traveling families Both have done a lot of travel, I did a lot of Central Australia through my teens and have a great love of what we have. Trisha has done more OS travel as she is a travel agent.
We started with a Tent and did a lot of 4wding. Then we had our first child and did the cape in 09 when she was 4 months. When we returned we decided a hard floor orr road camper was the go for more comfort and convenience with our first and for what lay in the future. We had our 2nd child and figured the cape once was not enough, we returned their in 2011 with 2 kids in tow our 2nd child was 7 months. They are certainly used to camping and love going away.
As most have you would have seen, we were looking at and ordered our first van, a 17-56-2 and is due in June. We are looking forward to it but would be a whole lot more excited if our camper would sell. With our eldest starting school next year the opportunity to do remote 4wd track touring will not come up so best having something more suited to what we will do now.
Anyway, looking forward to hitting the road and having some more luxury over the camper. If nothing else, i can sit inside and cook when it is raining. We can also keep the kids dry. We also spend a lot of time away waterskiing so this is quicker to setup, my wife will also be able to tow and set it up on her own before i head up with the boat in Fridays.
As a am a maintenance fitter, i refuse to pay money for things is can do myself. So i will be doing a lot of the planned mods and upgrades once it arrives. If i remember i will post along the way.
So that it us, been around a bit and looking forward to the next phase of our traveling adventures in a Jayco.
Tim
