Hi all
I have a 3.5l petrol pajero now but getting a bit old and struggle on hills with expanda, thinking of changing to a triton, just wondering how the diesel go with towing and auto or manual? And if the triton have any major problems thanks for any info.

Hi I bought a manual triton 3 months ago. No problems with it at all, great on fuel and plenty of power. I was advised the auto is best for towing the van but I can't tell yet as I'm waiting to install my tow pro. Value for money you can't go pat a triton.

We have the previous model with the 3.2d manual and going great. Done 115000 km some towing 1.6t boat and tow in 5th most of the time on flat roads. Towes quite well will try our 17.56-2 when we finally get it.

I know 2 mates have the new 2.5d and one had the engine replaced under warrantee at 40000 km the other had a second hand one put in at 115000km in.

I have a 2012 manual glxr and tow a 17ft expanda. I have had a gearbox issue which was quickly fixed under warranty otherwise very happy. The auto is 350nm and manual 400nm torque. Most of the manuals seem to be better on fuel but I can't see you having any dramas towing the 14.
