Howdy all,

My relos are coming away to Corryong for Christmas with us. They have no van so will be camping but are borrowing my small trailer to tow up there with camp gear.

The trailer was given to me by my grandfather. So well looked after but old.
Before handing over I packed the bearings and went to the tyre dealer to put a couple of new tyres on it. One of the rims was rusty around the valve hole so I tried to get a replacement.
The rims are 13" rims off a Torana. I gave up trying to replace the rims. But after Christmas is done I was thinking of replacing the hubs and going for a second hand rim off a more readily available car.

So suggestions all....
What car do I look for second hand rims off?
Any other thoughts?

Pretty sure you can still buy them new. Try someone like ajax wheels, you could also get sunrasia? style wheels. I just threw out some ek 13" wheels, they were annoying me in the garage. I will ask my old holden mechanic, he will have some for sure.

Near Darwin
Falcon, Commodore or Camry rims as all will be cheap in the near future. Anyway the first 2 have trailer hubs readily available in auto parts places.

The place where I got the tyres originally matched up the pattern to a ford fiesta. They happened to have three rims out the back. So for $25 each I was ready to buy those. They put the first tyre on when I realized the rims were wider.
They let me take the tyre home to check if it would fit. Unfortunately the tyre was hitting against the side of the trailer.
So guards had heaps of room for a 14" rim. I just need to be mindful of the width.

Mate, @Soaring is onto it, just take the trailer down to your local auto-wrecker, and tell them your dillema.. they are bound to have something, you will likely be able to find a decent wide rim with the correct off-set and stud pattern in 14". Wrecking yards are great.
