Hi All,

Just wondering if any one is towing a 16 foot expanda with a Prado 150 D4D Turbo.
How many litres per 100 kms would I look at getting, when driving at 100 kms ?

Regards
Karl

Not a 150 but a 120 D4D 6speed. Have a 17.56-2OB with it loaded up and 3 adults and 2 kids and all the crap they bring along sitting on the speed limit + at 100kph or 110kps when allowed we average 14-15ltrs / 100 most of the time except on really windy days.

Worst I have ever got from it was around 16.4 / 100 but average 14-15 all the time. And both I and the miss's aren't lite footed either. OME lift kit, HR towbar and Snorkel is all that has been done to the Prado.

I have a 2012 Prado 150 diesel towing a 17.56.2 OB. With the van and Prado fully loaded with kids and accessories, sitting on 100kph we average 14L/100km or so. Add hills and a headwind and just like GSPY4U, we get up to 16-17L/100km.

I also put the Prado gearbox in "manual mode" and lock it in 4th. Have not had a problem yet and it is a great car to tow with.

Good luck!

Hi Karl,
So many variables, we have got averages of 11-12's with no wind and straight flat roads at 90-100kms, and we have got 17-18's with wind and hills at 100-110km. Given ours is full height you should do a little better, as the other folk have indicated. No mods to our Prado just HR WDH and as Michael mentions tows really well.
