Could anyone help with a question please, have a 2015 Jayco Starcraft and would like to know if the tow secure aux battery is supposed to be charging when connected to 240v, I know it is charging when the van is plugged into the tug.

No they aren't. You could get one of the chargers that @dagree has mentioned, or you could put in a little DC-DC charger like I have done so that it is kept charged all the time from either 240v or if you have solar, from that as well.

Our 2015 came with one. Local dealer didn't know what it was for neither did I and lost it. Got another one as above.

I found that even with a 240v charger connected it would still show low battery for the first 30mims or so of towing.

Since connecting it to the house battery with the charger it's always shown fully charged.

On a similar note, I decided to test my breakaway unit before setting off on our last trip.

Pulled the pin and no alarm.

Put it back in and out again, still no alarm.

Left it out and pulled the van to see if the brakes were on, and again nothing, until I have moved about 2m and then the brakes finally came on.

I think the switch got stuck, so probably worth testing them periodically.
