Just wondering if anyone has come across any "interesting experiences" in their travels.
Here is my one to start this off.
We went up to cairns way a few years back for our honeymoon.
No expanda for that one unfortunately.
We booked into a place in the Daintree for a couple of nights called "wait a while" near cow bay.
A b&b.
As we entered the place you came across this beautiful yard with pool and massive homestead like house with windows all round.
But as you set foot onto the porch it was like coldness sweeping over you and a massive feeling of sadness.
For two hours we sat around the house doing different things but the feeling intrigued me.
It was like feng shui gone wrong....
My wife then burst into tears and said she was not sure why she was crying but something is wrong.
So I immediately said let's go for a walk down to the beach.
As soon as we stepped back off the porch the entire feeling left.
So my wife and I then started swapping what each other had felt for the last few hours. Up till then we had not spoken to each other about it. It struck me as weird how both of us were experiencing the same feelings.
i told her how despite this beautiful outlook on the house, my thoughts for sleeping the night were along the track of "what room secures and protects us best in the event of something happening".
And despite the toddler having a room for herself, I had decided in the first half hour that she would be sleeping between us.
As we sat on the beach we agreed to give it one more go. We would go back to the house and see how we went, but the agreement was that if we were uncomfortable that we would go.
So we went back, put a foot on the porch and all the feeling returned.
Simone and I looked at each other and said "let's get the hell out of here".
So we went back to palm cove and booked some accommodation there.
We decided to do some googling on the house.
Most reviews were excellent.
But buried in amongst the reviews we came across a site that provided reviews and buried in amongst the reviews was one titled "beautiful but haunted". It talked about observing white apparitions walking the porch at night.
Good decision to leave in my books.
