Not going to happen. Was just visiting the South to reacquaint myself with what Winter is like elsewhere. Was in Coffs when they announced that a new ice age was starting down there so made a quick dash North. Crossed the Qld border at Wallangarra and was told next morning that they closed the New England that night South of us due to black ice/snow. How so many of you survive without a DIESEL HEATER for touring amazes me.
Back home and the air-conditioner is on for the coming build up and wet season. Van soon to be tied down to its cyclone tie down concrete footings. Will now hibernate and re-emerge around April for a possible Southern journey.

Firstly Phil....NOT FUNNY!!! I'm even starting to whinge about this years winter and I've had enough! Secondly remember "Wet Season" is coming for you! I promise I wont refer back to this thread when it is 48C and 155%RH during our wonderful dry warm Southern Summer.

@Crusty181 maybe you should get one of these?

Nothing wrong with the Wet Season but when its only 36 DegC and 95+% humidity I just put on the welding gear I'm pictured in to keep warm.

Never let Winter stop us from using the van. Even without a diesel heater....
I'm with you, if it's too cold then either sit around an open fire outside or go to bed with a hot water bottle. :smow:
They breed them bit tougher in SA ..... and elsewhere, then export some of them to QLD apparently. Its not just about the winter guys, Ill still be banging on about the diesel heater throught out the summer ... just like a summer forecast, "there will be no relief in sight"
