Finally decided to take the plunge, got stupid COVID drug money levels for our 2011 Expanda OB and bought a 2017 Starcraft Outback TL 22.68 triple bunk van.

Have bought sight unseen (few photos and videos) from northern NSW and waiting impatiently for it to be shipped across to Perth so we can finally see it in person. Have got it a lot cheaper than locally ($10-15k at least) and to be honest they just never pop up here in WA so had no cho really.

Then comes to fun of seeing what we can do to it to get it how we want!

Any essential tips or tricks for these rigs?

Very nice. I have a 19' starcraft and love it. Tips?
My gas bottle holder needs a specific size bottle - had to modify it to take any size (moved cover forward lots and increased base size)
I run 48 to 52 psi hot to get a balance of economy and stability. Keep an eye on tread feathering as it takes a few goes to get the alignment just right.
The insulation is only average in some areas (lots of condensation in cold weather) - I lined cupboards over bed and wheel arches and a few other areas with 10mm adhesive fire wall foam
Check the fridge wooden base through the bottom outside cover. Mine was raw, unprotected so had to be painted
Check the front window cover for cracks where it is pop riveted to the hinge - I had to adhesive some strengthening over micro cracks to stop it getting worse
Check the roof cutouts carefully for seal if it is the thin roof type and especially the front and rear seams where it ends (like a raised ridge)

That's all I can think of. Nothing serious and easy to maintain. Good camping

Picked it up today off the wharf, looks BIG! A lot bigger than our little 17.58 Expanda was!
