have heard of 2 incidents lately that have shocked me, and also horrified me

not a "happy ending" for those poor people
and I heard from a mate that was retrenched a couple of weeks ago from a Major Mining Company
just before he was retrenched, the company changed its Superannuation policies, and stopped paying for the T&PD / Death / Income Protection insurance for the employees.
meaning the Employee's had to pay for that to be eligible
thankfully, the Insurance Company had not finalised the paperwork prior to 25 guys loosing their jobs
so they are covered
but
it just makes you think
