Stuff stolen from caravan park

Well last night we had a great sleep at the Ocean view caravan park surfers paradise until we awoke. I went outside and noticed all car doors were open a bit and the car was unlocked and someone had gone through our car and still our camera (spare only and no damage) and a few people started noticing stuff missing like Eskies, scooters, cigarettes and then a guy in his camper woke to find his car had been stolen which was such a surprise...

Remember to lock up your stuff no matter how safe you think a park is.

its crappy that the us who enjoy the sense of community of travel and staying in van parks are hit with this crap.... i put locks on my gas bottles the other day which i thought was a bit sad but necessary... i hope i never am in the situation of catching a thief or i will need bail....

That's terrible. Unfortunately crime on the gold coast is really starting to ruin it's reputation. When mum and dad were touring there was a lot of theft at esperance. So much that they left early. No where is safe anymore

When they start making the punishments more for these lowlifes then maybe there will be some deterrent. However, when they just get a rap on the knuckles or a stern talking to and let off then they will not stop doing it. Scum in society will always be scum but if they learn there is a harsh enough punishment then they will think twice about it. (bit of 4x2 would make em learn)

Bummer to here as it spoils your holiday. Maybe we need to chain a guard dog to everything these days.

Man that just sucks. These low lifes need to be taught some respect. Im with Andrea, the GC is just so over-ridden with crime now. I have been going to the goldie since I was a kid and also as an adult also. My wife and I think twice about going to the goldie now. If we do go there we certainly don't goto Surfers but down to Kingscliffe. Mostly we just goto the Sunshine Coast now though.

booked into Broadbeach CP for a week at xmas then North star at Hastings Point, may have to take a bit of care at the GC by the sounds of it.
Ant have you stayed at Kingscliffe Beach CP, we are booked in for 2 weeks next year, if so any good?

No we haven't. We have only had our van for a month. We have only stayed down there in hotels.
