hi all,
My first post so here goes...
I have a '06' expanda outback 18.57-70B, and am in dire need to upgrade the old GQ patrol slug to something that can actually tow sufficiently.

Gotta be turbo diesel, family friendly, reasonable k's and on a budget of less than $20,000.

Please any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. As I am about to limp home in the GQ. She's hanging up her boots.

Thanks!!!

Welcome aboard @LARS. You have opened a Pandora's box with that question as the members love to discuss the pros and cons of their respective vehicles. I love my 3.0L Navara but there are now a lot of better vehicles around now, I just see no reason yet to swap it. :D

Hi there.

I thought it would be a big ask. Haha!

My expanda is so heavy and I think I'm limited to patrol or cruiser. From what I've read the navaras and pathfinders, which I like, may not cut it.

What do you tow @chartrock ?

I have just upgraded from a 14-44-3- OB Expanda to a 17-56-9 Journey which is about half a tonne heavier so the Nav is struggling but it will do the job for a while yet. :D

Gday, I've towed with a 2005 territory , a 2009 kluger & my current 2011 Prado TD.. Prado is the best & territory was also good & klugger was average but OK. For that sort of dollars maybe a territory. Ex government auctions usually have some good deals.
