Spent a lazy 3 days on the banks of Lake Eppaloch (Vic.) with two other Panda families - water skiing, fishing, BBQs and a few frothies, wines & ports. Could not ask for much more - all the adults and kids had a ball.

Awesome Weekend!

Spent the weekend out with my brother and family at Stanthorpe. Took the panda for accommodation as he has heaps of space. Loved the break.

Catching up on some handyman work around the house.
Took a look at a 17 sized panda also at the Geelong show. Got diverted to our ultimate dream van.... A Lotus Trooper.

Cancelled the weekend away we had booked. Had a great day at the beach with the kids on Straya day. My grandfathers 90th celebration on the Monday followed by a night shift at the Bangor Fire near Port Pirie before back to work this morning.

We went to Moama Waters caravan park with 2 other panda families and another family with a full van and had a great time. Booked in again for next year. It`s only a new park and have only completed stage 1 of 3, all the ensuite sites and powered sites are done the rest of the developement will be 2 and 3 br villas and another pool. What they have done they have done well and it will be brilliant when fully finished but that could still be a few years off.

Spent the Straya Day weekend getting the Expanda, Prado and Boat ready for the annual trip to Busselton next weekend for two weeks. Heading down as the school holiday crowd are going home and before the "real" Grey Nomads head there :)

What interested you to the 17 @Brad.
The weight of our van is close to the limit. Most of the travelling we do is restricted to Victoria so far. When we went to Corryong we noticed how the car struggled plus the six tanks of fuel it guzzled. It could be the larger tyres and also wish we had the 3.5 tonne version of Pathie. But when you look at cost and question everything we wondered if dropping back to a 17 would be a better option than renewing the car.
All things we are pondering at the moment....

Oh,so travelling interstate there is other regs that govern what you tow? Yes the Pathy can be thirty,do notice that too with family of 6 in car when towing also.
Have you thought of placing a wind deflector on roof of car for aerodynamic effect? I was going to give it go last week, though needed to place bikes on roof instead, plan B now.

Good idea @Pace. We are going to start with going back to the smaller wheels. We are thinking of selling the wheels on eBay if that type of thing can be done. Got no idea what we will get, but we are going to start there.
Have you investigated prices for the wind deflector?
