how does one store their water filter cartridges between trips? lots of different opinions when you google the subject, i normally back flush the filters ,take them apart,hose them down and then dry them fully, before reusing them i soak them in clean water, reassemble and flush them before the next adventure, if its going to be a big adventure i install new filters at the start of the trip, some people say just store the cartridges in a plastic bag in the fridge, not really happy with that option as i have seem plenty of things growing in fridges, i have a portable twin filter set up

We were given one as a gift (not a large one) and we just put in the sink and let it drain away and then just reconnect it. I do not recall any documentation stating to dry them out.
