stone stomper ....preferably particularly on the loose stuff you get over there......and in other places, of course.

While I was going to fit a stone stomper, I had a couple of other factors to consider so ended up ordering one from rvpartsexpress ....quite sturdy, and removable as it's got a couple of pins and just lifts off.

Be careful with the width measurement, though. It comes in three sizes and we felt the full size ones "for caravans" was just too wide to allow us to get around it and still lower the bed ends.

We opted for the medium width model and it's quite wide enough for a Jayco.

Hi there,

We have a 17.52.2 outback and looking to instal a stone guard. I was looking for recommendations please.

Cheers,

Pilbara Steve

Go the stonestomper @Pilbara Steve , Christian @Stone Stomper is even a member here. Works well and people with standard stone shields still report stones back on to the tug and loosing Windows. never heard of anyone loose a window with a stonestomper. Also I got better economy when I changed from a huge stone shield to a stonestomper even thou the van weight went up! Only time there not effective is in mud.
