Starting the mods on our 12-37-2

Well seeing as we just had a beautiful weekend here in sunny Melbourne I thought I would start on the list of mods I have planed for our "Baby Panda".
As we free camp 99.9% of the time we don't have much use for a microwave, so out it came and I added a door.

Also fitted the radio and speakers.

Also the ever popular wardrobe shelves.

well that's a couple crossed off.

I drive past a joinery on the way home from work, dropped in with a sample draw and they had an offcut that was very close, $10.00 for a 3m x 700, happy with that.

The 12's are roomier than they look , when we saw it at the dealer we thought '' How cute, a baby pop top'' then we looked in side and loved it, bought it and sold our Finch OB, loving the set up time.

Picked timber sheet from 'all board dist'. In bayswater Vic and fitted couple of shelves to cupboard using jayco corner blocks. Laminate timber sheet closest I could get.View attachment 23218 View attachment 23217

Got my timber from all board dist, not sure if they are a national co. But could check.

I tried All Board in Hallam, the guy wasn't to interested in trying to match the color/pattern, his attitude turned me away pretty quick.

Had friday off and timber pre-cut i suppose you would class that as a long weekend

Does your range hood fan empty into the compartment where you put a speaker ??? My 14 has a clock there and the fan just dumped into the empty space behind until I made a hose up for it to vent outside via a little square vent.
Nice job on the mods, fun isn't it ..

thats a shame , i found the colour on there web site as a stock colour, its a shame you didn't get the best service.

Yeah it did, I made up a hose to meet up with the vent.

Hi Colin&sue, I found a board at a joinery that i pass on the way home from work, had enough for the job.

Just bought a Smev full oven for the 12 (At the missus request) now to get it in there, (pics to follow)

Definitely post some pics as this might be something I would entertain unless I get a Weber Q instead.
