Afternoon everyone,I have a 2016 starcraft outback 19ft, and I wish to add extra solar as the 120w panel isn,t enough. The guy that I am buying the solar panels from wants to know what setec model is in the starcraft St20 which is 10A or ST 35 which is 15A my manual only says ST-lll. He mention that ST20 can have 2 panels and the ST35 can have 3 panels connected ,so does any one know ? .Rang jayco agent and he doesn,t know. Cheers ...

If I remember correctly, the model number of your Setec power supply /charger should be written inside the front door of the unit where all the fuses are.
My understanding (others will correct me if I am wrong) is that the solar setup and the Setec unit are independent of each other.
The Setec manual explains how to add solar panels to charge your battery.
Basically, you buy solar panels and a controller and connect the controller output directly to the battery terminals via an inline fuse.
The size of the solar panels you want to connect has absolutely nothing to do with the Setec unit.

That's correct, solar is connected directly to the battery from the solar controller.

By the sounds of it he wants to hook the panels into the Setec "DO NOT DO THIS"
Hook the panels directly to the battery via a Solar Regulator.

Thanks for the replies guys ,sparky will know about batteries via solar controller,he wanted to know about the different codes ST20-ST35 side of it and which one i had in starcraft?.. Any more info ????
Just recalled why you don't actually run a solar panel thru a Setec, since a panel can put out up to 19v and anything over about 15 will fry it, he might have been thinking of a Cetek DC-DC charger, a totally differnt fish ...
