Space saver tyres

I did... BUT I also carried compressor and tyre repair kit. This is also handy in case flat on the van tyre. Much easier to repair and inflate than to change. I'd only use my spacesaver as last resort and would probably leave the van behind for a run into town to get the tyre repaired/replaced. If I had no option, I'd probably still tow, but at a very reduced speed (I'd also check my car's instruction book to see what they might say).
I was thinking about this last weekend and wouldnt you know it, was travelling to work along Ring Rd and saw it for myself.

well our non tow car is a Mini Cooper no space saver or spare.. found out how bad it was a few years ago when you do a tyre sidewall and all you have is goop in a can. So have a second set of tyres at home now
