They've had sink holes around there before on the beach area but this one beats the others.

The area would be packed with school holidays and beautiful Queensland weather.

Just heard they've totally evacuated the area. Quick pickups and quick escapes.

WOW! That's scarey. Glad to read everyone was safe and accounted for. I wonder if insurance would cover a thing like that???

Oh wow that is crazy! How scary. Can't control nature and with the earth quake activity recently that is bound to have had a hand in it. Glad no one was hurt.

There was an earthquake last week off fraser island same day as the earthquake hit South america
