As we all know, sitting back relaxing part of the caravan experience. Unfortunately finding a comfy chair that packs away neatly is hard to find.
I've been using these "Great Outdoors" chairs for the past few years. They are just OK comfort wise, but they do not pack up very well. They have a pocket one one side that somehow seems to fill up with beer bottle tops, but the inbuilt stubby holder won't fit a beer in it if your using a normal stubby holder. From memory they where about $80 each.
Given the new van is on its way, I though I might give my bum a present and pick up some new chairs. So, What does everyone have and do they recommend them.

Hi Soaring

Not worth posting a pic of my chair as its been around the block a few times. I have thought about a new one recently and sat in my nephews new chair last time we were away and it was comfy, light and folded up easy.

Was one like this:

We "HAD" the Coleman Recliners, very comfy and great for that afternoon snooze under the awning, However they are very bulky and could only carry them under the table in the van, became a pain in the butt moving them all the time. We decide to get something lighter and more compact that we could also chuck in the car for day trips/4wd trips where the van is left behind. So we now have Oztrail bag chairs, mine is only about 18 mths old and already falling apart, Might go get myself one of the ARB ones.

Love our chairs (Chinese imports-no brand). Very comfy for relaxing/drinking...awkward for eating anything complicated... Covers store in van and frames in front tunnel hatch. Frames still quite bulky but nest together a bit.

We have these. I love and hate them.
I love them cause they are very comfy to sit in.
But I also hate them cause they don't fold up to anything small.

Ive got the Wanderer camp chair, love it, it has a high back and allows you to slouch back into it as well.

The wife has the Foxy and she swears by the "Bubbles" holder, I don't think she cares how comfortable it is!

Hey Xpandafan, those do look comfy! I haven't seen them at the usual places, do you remember where you picked them up?

I've seen these ones during my evening stroll around the Caravan Park. They do look comfortable, but weight and storage seem to be a problem.

As an added issue, I have three little ones but the cartoon style kids chairs are now too small for them. The adult chares are too big. (sounds like Glodilocks and the Three Bears story!:smile-34: )
I did see a medium "Director" style aluminium framed chair while camping at Christmas last year, but buggerd if I can find it in the shops.
