Sean Parkys 17.56.2 Mods have started

Well it has started and the list is growing. Will show what I've done so far. The pics will keep coming as they slowly get done. Ive a few ideas and will see how they go. So I'm thank you everyone on there ideas that has helped us get our vans the way we like them or how they should be from the start.
First is the easy mod. The fridge light. I also put a sensor light near the shower area to see how this goes with the kids waking up in the middle of the night stumbling around trying to find the light switch waking everyone up. So if this seems to work I'm going to permantly install a sensor and controller that will activate two red led lights, one near the step as you go out the door and the other facing the shower.

Like the idea of the sensor light at floor level. Might just have found a use for the spare one we have for when the grandkids tag along!!

Well I've finally done my first real modification. Ive installed the awning Led strip. Im currently in Mildura at the moment and gotta say I'm glad the van has a heater. Damm its cold down here. On our way to Moonta.
Here are some pictures of my first modification. What i did was cut a groove in the surrounding fridge vent so the wires would be flush and not get cut. I have also added a small film of scholastic along the LED light strip so the strip would not come away from the van. I also added another light switch to operate it independently from the original outside awning light.

Another modification has been done. Will post pics tomorrow. Have installed another rear bed latch to support the bed, was sick of it rubbing on the lid.

$60 for lock and $12 for metal latch that holds it in place.

Picked up 2 this afternoon for $53 each complete. (Ended up getting one to put on the front also)

I got ripped. lol. Im putting another two at the front aswel. Also just fitted a tea towel holder next to sink. Trying to up load pics now

Hope you mounted them lower than I did.... Not much room for fingers up high

This is the new tea towel rail i just put in for the wife. Good old Bunnings. Ive used a cupboard handle.

Well finished the bed end latch modifications and finally did the good old cupboard mod. Have also installed a Led strip on the inside of the cupboard but won't be finished until i get back to brisbane as i need to get a magnetic reed switch to turn on the light when door is open.

With @Pace on this... I do notice that ours sits out a little if we leave the under blanket on the mattress but didn't think would be much of an issue.

With our egg carton mattress topper it sticks out and is rubbing on the lid. Im just a bit anal and like things to be where they should and secure.

Same issue here.... Hence why I'm about to go out and fit our new latches
