What is the photo competition all about really?
Each month members on the forum can submit a photo to the competition thread with the chance of winning for that month.
If your photo is chosen to appear in the calendar, as a reward for your efforts you will receive a free prize of a calendar at the end of the year featuring the picture you submitted.
The competition will be run on a monthly basis so there will be one winner each month and at the end of the year we will compile all the photos into a yearly calendar.
Don't worry if you are not a photo buff as we have other competitions coming to keep everyone engaged on the site so stay tuned more details....
So are there any rules for the competition?
We would like to keep the competition as fair and easy as possible for every to get a go at getting their picture into the yearly calendar but we just need to have a few things cleared out so we can ensure the smooth running so here are a couple of rules to keep us all on the same page:
1) If you submit a photo to the competition it would be handy if you have a high resolution photo. This doesn’t mean you need a special camera but whilst the forum needs you to sometimes resize your photo so you can load it to the forum it would handy if you had the original larger image available to make a better quality print. If you can provide this you can submit this at the end of the month via email. If you don’t have one that is fine as well but this would be handy to ensure quality print. Note not having this will not disqualify you from the competition and is simply nice to have more than anything.
2) Each month a winner will be selected by the moderator team by assessing all aspects of the picture. Voting will be handed over to the forum three times a year to ensure fairness but we are keeping it in house as much as possible so we can ensure smooth running of the competition.
3) If you are posting a photo please keep it clean, any photos which are not clean will be removed automatically from the site.
4) If you are posting a photo please ensure you have the rights to post the photo as it will be used in a calendar we need to ensure copy right is maintained if you have any questions please PM a mod for clarification.
