The Roseberry cabin and caravan park.......
A pretty basic spot to set down for a night or two. We decided to stop here really only so we could do the Montezuma Falls walk.
Rosebery is not much more than a small mining town, with other towns around being somewhat larger. The park a number of powered site and generally gravelled throughout. A number of relocatable cabins, and small back packer type rooms. Toilets were basic and in a lovely 70's decor, but functional and clean.
Cost was $30 for the night. We didn't even see any staff - there was a sign saying check in after 4pm, else leave money in an envelope and slide under door". Even after 4pm, there was no-one around....
We had a site in the back corner, overlooking the river and Stitt Falls. There is nothing else in the park - no sign of any rec rooms, camp kitchen or anything else (at least, not that we saw).
For us, the weather was lousy - it rained hte whole time, and the 9km walk to the 140m high Montezuma Falls was muddy and wet, wet, wet. In the dry, it would've been great, and is a well formed walking track on a old railway, and is near flat the whole way.
Overall, we were under no illusions of what the park was going to be like - it was merely a cheap and functional overnight stop, and lived up to that expectation - thus I'll give a 4/5 for what it was. Comparing to something like a Top Tourist, lets say 1.5/5
