Hi all,

I made these up before the weekend and they work great, keeping the rods out of the way and out of sight! I will make up a few sets, get them powder coated and let you know when available and how much if anyone is keen.

Cheers. :)

Top idea Burnsy you are a clever bugger aren't ya!!! I would be the first to walk into a 4/0 hook being 6'3" :crutch:can just picture me in a emergency room somewhere but I will have to make some anyway. Would be perfect with the annexe up a great spot for them.

Nice job @Burnsy, I did a similar thing with large S hooks ($2 dollar shop specials) and cable ties in the old Flamingo annex which also had two curved cross bars. But our new panda only has the one, hmmm, another mod to think about. :minion_write:

Good idea! We were thinking of mounting some curved brackets underneath the van and keeping the rods there when we're set up - didn't think about up under the awning like that...

Haven't got the curved bars but will sort something for them.

Hi Burnsy,

Have you got a set of the rod holders at the moment, we head up to Blacksmith's on Saturday and I wouldn't mind catching up and picking up a pair.

Thanks

Dave

Love your handy work Burnsy. Here's another rod holder idea I saw this on a mate's van recently - an off the shelf option that comes in handy if you don't want rod holders on the car for those long rods, but doesn't keep them out of site though. Old mate stores rods with the reels on when done fishing for the day then takes the reels off when moving camps.
