RFS fires app for iPhone/ipad

Just thought I'd post this info. We were south of Sydney enjoying our caravan when those fires we had all over the east coast broke out.

I used the app Fires Near Me NSW on my iPhone to keep up to date and it was excellent, I highly recommend getting it, free also.

Good idea Mike, the CFA have one here in Vic too.

I used the NSW one too great advantage. I also 'liked' the various police services on Facebook. They provided up to date info on the latest emergencies. These got us thru the bush fires in NW NSW and the Qld storms and flooding

My 'offical' cfa one hasn't worked for months since updated (Like many many others)
I use 'CF Alerts' instead which at least gives the incident notices, warning/advice notices, radio audio streams, and video reports. No map tho
