Hi all,

I want to replace the anode on the hot water system. Should I purchase the Suburban brand and is there only one mode or do I need to specify what model of hot water system I have?

Cheers,
Steve

Has long as it says "suitable for Suburban" on the pack,
Have heard some of the generic ones are to long and need to be cut down

I bought one off ebay, which was a bit longer but after testing there was sufficient room no cutting was required.

I just bought the Camec one as per @Bushman, didn't need to cut any off either.
The anode I took out was the original (now 3 years old) and pretty well used up even though we hadn't used the HWS that much at all.
This leads me to the question - should the HWS be drained when not in use? Can't help but think it would corrode more just sitting around in water.
