Last outing we managed (unfortunately) to get some scratches from branches on the van - both the fibreglass clear coat and the perspex windows.

I was hunting around looking for possible ways to get the scratches out of the windows and found this link where a guy demonstrates by scratching the perspex on his motorbike and then the steps required to fix/remove it.

Has anyone tried this method and if so, how has it worked?

What other ways, other than replacing the window/s have people used?

Cheers,

Rohan

I was given a can of VuPlex from the dealer I got the van from, brought the windows up a treat, the website states it fills in scratches as well. Ill buy another can, the one I got only did the disco windows and was empty.

Use VuPlex as well and also on all my motorbikes. Works great, gets bugs off and leaves a nice shine without the oilyness.

I have used "Plastx" (Meguiar's) with success on tree branch scratches on the windows.
Also can be used on Plastic headlights, Boat windows, Convertible windows, Hard plexiglass surfaces and scratched CD surfaces.
Cheers Paul.
