Are you talking remote movers installed onto the van or ones that connect to the tow hitch that allow you to walk it into tight places?

I have just installed a Reich Mover to my 16.49.3 OB as I have a long-ish driveway that's downhill (12% incline) and very tight around trees.

I imported it from the UK after reading lots of reviews about different models, and seeing at the Supershow in action before deciding on the Reich. It has cost me about $1850 by the time I shipped it, paid duty (could have got out of it if I'd been smarter), had some brackets made up and fitted it myself.

Was a bit of an effort to fit, but well worth it now it's on. Have had to remove the second water tank for now, but will refit again in a slight different position shortly. It's powered off the caravan battery which needs to always have good charge for it to work well, so fitted a meter to make sure it is.

I have moved the step across by 1/2" to get it in behind, and fitted the double jockey wheel - it just doesn't work well without one.

It now makes getting it in and out of the driveway so easy, and handles the slope with ease. Here's some photos of it.

Hi,
I also done many hours of research into caravan movers, searching chat rooms and watching video's on you tube. I found that the movers that attach to the tow ball or jockey wheel have limitations. I decided on a Reich Eco mover, which is being fitted by the factory when my Expanda is being built. It that's a soft start and stop and most importantly stops the van when you release the button. I have a tight squeeze where I will be parking the van damn can move it and watch it from the side at the same time. Well worth it in my opinion if you have an incline or tight spaces to deal with. $1800 is cheap insurance against a $5000 mishap.

I've just mounted a tow ball on my ride on mower to enable some tight maneuvering. I haven't got the van yet, but tried it out with the camper. Seems work ok.

Thanks for the link to the Parkit360, looks like a great unit. I notice the Oz price is just I under $2200, however in Canada its under a grand, wow.

We had an Aussiewheel for our previous 16' pop top van. Australian made with a number of accessories. It can be run from its own battery or the house battery. Ball hitch or jockey post. It was good for hard surfaces and slight inclines but on our new larger van on grass (even with the larger wheels) was unsuitable on an incline.
