question for the Ranger guys

I have a mate that has the new Ranger
and I have a question about it

he said the other week, he was driving through a rather large puddle on Gt Norther Hwy (its been raining in sunny West Aust) and since then, he has a "squeak" out of the front suspension

when asked him to describe, it sounded like the old Falcon front suspension squeak

Ford have said its a Ball Joint - $600 to fix - but they dont have one in stock

just wondering if any of you guys have had this, and what it could be
and what was the fix

Try a squirt of wd40 or alike round the top nut of the strut, can see it from the top of the wheel. My Navara did the same, a squirt would last months. Think it was a bit of grit in there, the wd worked so well I never pulled it apart to see why it did it.

Iv never heard a ball joint squeak, It will more than likely be one of the 4 rubber bushes between the chassis and the top and bottom control arm mounts. CRC should sort it

I can't help you but in all the fords I owned in my younger days they all squeaked in the front end
