I am just in the process of getting quotes to do the same thing...Brisbane to Perth. The first quote I got was $5,500! So just waiting on others. We have tried to purchase a used van here in WA but because we want 20' with double beds both ends and bunks for the grandies they seem to be really scarce. Brand new we can't pick up until May/June and a used van (2014) is around $20k cheaper. I will post when I get other quotes but not expecting it to be cheap.
If its any help a 23ft Cole trailer sailer quote was $3,080 including gst. From Noosa to Adelaide,dec 2016
we drove up and including motel just on $900.

You could try www.loadpilot.com.au they are an online marketing company service that specialise in the oversize load pilot. Various pilots will give you a quote once you request an online quote they deal directly with you, and you choose who you want to do business with. It's free to get a quote so maybe worth a try and it will at least give you some idea of costs.

We have got a much cheaper quote from somebody who is obviously working on work contacts on a Sunday.......impressed! A quote from door to door is $3200 from Geoff Smith from Autocare Transport 0427084301. Happy to pass his name on as he came in at $2300 cheaper. Good luck with your transport or new van whichever you decide on.
