Hi All
Long time reader - first time poster :)
I have a 2012 PX Ranger HR XL 2.2 manual and currently tow a 16.49 Expanda (ATM 1706) - its a non OB with underslung axle etc. The smaller diesel tows it fine although it does require a little "gear rowing" when in the hilly stuff but nothing I'm complaing about.
Now, the wife has had her eye on a used 18.57 with an ATM around 2400kg and I have my concerns over how well the Ranger will cope with the extra weight and height of the larger van. Obviously I'm well within the 3350Kg towing limit and I have been reading peoples comments regarding towing similar vans and trying to assess the tow vehicles output and comparing ones similar to the Ranger (110Kw, 375Nm). I was hoping someone else may be in the same circumstances and some feedback on "real world" performance (or lack there of).
The vehicle is supplied hence I don't have the option to upgrade and fuel consumption isn't a real issue either ;).
Cheers in advance.......

Paul

Can't help you with this other than to suggest loading up the tub of ranger with the extra weight ie 700 kg+ and hook up your van to simulate the extra load the new van would be.
Of coarse you also have factor in the weight of what you would normally carry in the ranger when on a trip too.
