Does this affect older models or just the newer ones? I have a 2010 model and I would hate to get locked out of it or in it for the matter, so far I haven't found it to be an issue but I will change the lock quick smart if it has the potential to be.

@chartrock did you ever have an issue with this when you owned the Expanda?

Ours is a 2011. It buggered up when we we on Briby Island a couple years ago and we needed the locksmith to come out and break in. He said at the time he'd have a couple of call outs a month (the cvan park had him on speed dial) and it was always the camec 3 point lock. I'm not sure when Jayco started with the three point locks. Prior to that it was just a single lock, so you'll easily tell the difference.
Of course its not all locks which fail. And its taken me another 3 years to replace mine with no lockouts since. In fact once I removed the bottom of the three latches I've had no problem with it closing, latching or opening, which I had been before that. I'm only replacing now cos the handle itself is damaged, and figured I'd do the keyed-alike at the same time.

No mate, never got locked in or out. The only problem I found was that sometimes when I went to lock it from the inside at night I had to pull the door in a bit harder before I could move the lock lever. I only happened a few times and I think it was the bottom lock slightly out of allignment.

I had experience my first issues with the van door on our last trip.
Locked the van went fishing get back unlock van door place van keys in the bench close van door.
Wife and kids go to open the van door and its locked.........OH NO!!
They ask me where's the keys I said I've unlocked the van it should be open..........NOPE.
The van door relocked it's self. Why it did this i have no idea.
Lucky I always have my spare set in the car and lucky again the car was unlocked.
I think before next trip i my get one of those key safes and place under the van in a top secret place.
