Preferred site @ Halls gap

Thinking of getting away for a couple of days to Halls Gap, Vic during the April School Holidays.

Nothing big or major.

Is any park better than the rest there? Considering Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park, Halls Gap Caravan Park or BIG4 Grampians Parkgate Resort.

So far Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park is looking the goods.

Looking through Wikicamps and they all look much the same.

Other possibility is Blackwood Mineral Springs Caravan Park as it's closer to home.

Lakeside is the goto camp park.

Plantation camp ground if you wanna free camp


That's my vote anyways. Good luck getting a site during Easter now though I would have thought

Lakeside it is. Looked pretty good on the website. Bec was great to talk to when I booked - site was huge.

So at least that's a short getaway taken care of.

Wood heated pool is awesome!!!

Make sure to have dinner at The Views Restaurant you won't be sorry

Another option if you are self contained is Old Man Emu Stay just out of Halls Gap near the zoo. We went there a couple of years ago with @Tone and had a ball. No power or amenities but a heap of sites well spread out with their own fire pit and rustic bench. Only $10 or $15 a night as well. Great hosts as well.

Stayed at the Lakeside last Easter and it was great. Be careful of the Kangaroos, some of them are huge!

Already booked in at Lakeside - might check Old Man emu stay out while we are there for next time.

Yep lakeside but bit expensive now they have done a bit of work there you get whay you pay for and its pretty good

Other campsites in the bush mite be hard to get unless your very early ????
Only eva stayed at lakeside..... watch when feeding cockies they will land on you my arms last time looked like 5 rounds with Edward Sizzor hands.... saw a deer feeding with the kangaroos ...
