Apparently the truck driver said he has slowed to about 60K when they hit, just goes to show you don't always need speed for carnage especially when there's a rather large moving object involved

it is neither illegal nore recommended to be stupid
and your not allowed to cull idiots - Darwin will take care of that sooner or later

in saying that
the poor guy may have been working all day, and on his way home and had a lapse in concentration and judgement because he was tired

not an excuse

but a plausible explanation
