I've searched every keyword I can think of, but can't find the list of things to check at pickup someone posted a few months back.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, or give a first vanner some tips on what to look for at pickup?

Would like to think THE LIST has just vanished...but maybe just not looking in the right places.
Best recommendations off top of my grey head...
1 Listen carefully to what you're told at handover...maybe record on your smart phone?
Even take a critical friend along with you if you have one (unbiased eyes see more).
What looked idiot proof when demonstrated by a bloke who's done it a hundred times
proved embarrassingly complex when one unnamed owner got home.
2 Check all doors (hinges and latches) including hatches and cupboards.
3 Check inside all storage areas (take a small LED torch with you so you can see inside.)
4 Check for correct functioning of all taps and drainage.
5 Check all lights and power points 12v & mains.
6 Check gas operation...stove, HWS, etc.
7 Carefully go around body (without your rose-coloured glasses) and if you can have a look underneath at brake wiring.
By this stage you'll have driven handover guy mad (unless you've divided up your check list).
Make sure you have all manuals and keys.
You'll be so excited, if you're anything like me, so most of this advice will be WASTED anyway.:becky:
Remember: Jayco's after sales service is really good so any little glitches (and they're usually little) will be fixed without dramas.
Just enjoy the day and share the story with us!

Thanks Xpandafan.
I get the feeling my rose coloured glasses will be well and truly clamped onto my face. Anything short of catastrophic will most likely see me bring her home and get it fixed at the first service. After waiting over 5 months, I'm sure another last minute delay will be far too much for me to cope with!
