Hi all,
Very excited as tomorrow we pickup our new 14.44.5 OB Expanda. Being our first van, having spent the last 10 years or so in camper trailers, it will be a new era for us. This van came onto the market at exactly the right time for us, as we had just started looking at vans having being impressed with Jim and Tab's on a few camping adventures. Our aim is to use the van both on and off road and bush camp more often than not, so it will be set up to cope with that. We already have a solar panel and a genie so power is covered, but still need to find places for the log splitter, long handled shovel, firewood as well as protecting all the wiring and hoses underneath the van. Like many others on this site, the van will more than likely turn into a WIP, but that is all part of the fun. The kids aren't impressed that they will still have to sleep in their swags when we go away, but one rarely comes now as he is 14 and bored with it all, and our 8 year old daughter is only with us every second weekend so we knew that the van we bought would suit the two of us and not the kids : )
Anyway I will post some pics tomorrow if I remember and will keep everyone up to date on any mods we do over time, as well as any trips we do.
Cheers and thanks for all the free advice we have already come across on this great forum.
