Hi

So today was the big day. Had to pick up our new van from Jayco, Brisbane at 8:00. We've been waiting for so long, we just counted down the hours the last few days.

Handover was brilliant, and we are very happy with our new van. Cannot wait to take it away for the long weekend. Haven't had a chance to take a lot of pic's, but I've taken one of the bed-end we had made to prevent bed from getting wet in the rain, which we always have when we go camping. The guy from "Not just canvas" did his first try on us, and I must say, we are very happy with the result. Their website haven't got pictures of the bed-end yet, but they will hopefully add it soon.

Now to pack our van for the first trip! Hubby's been playing around all day, so I will do the packing after he finished his exploring. We had a mover added to our van, so the guys at Jayco told us they enjoyed playing with our new toy. And so does hubby!!

@Wanda, the mover is a gadget that moves the caravan with a remote control. Jayco has their own robot mover, but we've opted for a different one, which is attached to the bottom of the caravan, in front of the wheels. I will take a picture to show what it looks like. We've got a really tight fit for our van, so needed something to move the van inches at a time

Just what Mr. Wanda might need too!!!! Would love to see the pics, thank you. We are looking to get our new van next week (never had a van before) and we also have a bit of tight maneuvering.

@17triton, our first camp will be at Sandy Creek, and hubby will probably sleep in the van tonight.

@Dove, you must be exited, enjoy the new van!

Here is a pic of the mover:

We were worried that we will loose ground clearance, but it was neatly done, and exactly the same height as the step, so nothing lost adding the mover. Both wheels have this contraption. Also got a double jockey wheel to go with this awesome toy.

@beecee , we got the bed end from Not Just Canvas, and it was about $400. It's the first one they custom made, and I'm sure they will have it up on their website soon. Had great service from them, and they told us to bring it back if we want any adjustments made.

@Antman I realise the @ is a bit of a problem, tried to change it, but can't figure out how to do it.:( We are very happy with the bed end, we are sure it will prevent any wetness on the beds in the rain.

Loved your blog!

That price would only be for one end Ants being a 14 footer, just incase you didn't notice.
