So excited to have picked up our new 17.56-1 outback today. Handover went smoothly and all the extras we ordered seem to be in place. They helped us install our newly purchased tow mirrors and the trigg hitch receiver on the car. Looking forward to our first camping trip to Melrose in the Flinders next week

Congrats JP,
finally the long wait is over hey, pretty good feeling pulling the new rig home.
enjoy the new van, with all its new adventures ahead. Best thing we ever did was buy a Panda.

Thanks everyone:cheer2:
Our driveway is sloped away from the road, but managed to back the expanda down first go. Removing the trigg pin was hard work on the slope :embarassed:though!!!

Looks Like you picked it up from Australian caravans in Adelaide?, Good Bunch of blokes.
We made a trip all the way over from WA to get it from them...

Very nice and that new Expanda smell too ;)

The Tregg pin does take a bit of practice but remember if you are on a slope leave the chains on for safety until you know its all good.

Thanks for the tip..... we did leave the chains on but reminders are always good. We are also using really big solid rubber chocks and have the stabiliser legs down
Any tips for removing the trigg pin?

Jaypanda I put a smear of this anti seize on the pin which makes it a lot easier to fit and remove the pin. Its water repellent too so it wont wash away and it doesn't collect grit like a grease.

You should be able to get it in a tube too.
