We have had our Starcraft on order since June. Getting it tomorrow from Brisbane Camperland and hope we don't have too much trouble getting it in the yard. They did try one in our yard before we signed off on the order. Got a couple of things to do too it but not much. First trip will be in February.

Got to fit the solar panel(fixed and portable), bumper bar( stainless steel or galvanised one), some 12 volt outlets, usb outlets and grey water storage. Keep me busy for awhile

Ours survived its second significant hail storm in almost exactly one year. All good! They are much tougher than you think!

Here are some of the photos from the pickup. Had some fun getting it in the yard and then pushing it across onto the grass.22730-87820720e9695498dc7ada627e8c1181.jpg
Got a WDH while I was at it as the car dropped 50 mm at the back. Towed real well and brake unit was good. Watched the average fuel economy go up until I got over the gateway bridge. Have to get an electric caravan mover fitted as it is hard once it is on the grass and the jockey wheel just digs in. Now to start doing a couple of things on it.

50mm is a lot of drop I'd give the suspension an upgrade.....................looks nice, those caravan movers are bloody expensive and add more weight, put some pavers or a concrete strips down to roll it along at least it won't sink when you get some rain.
How are you going to sit around till Feb ??????

Van had full water tanks and gas bottles when we picked it up. Found a few gas fuses in the cupboards and other bits thrown in as well. The hitch levelled the car out ok. Got plenty to keep me busy till February

movers maybe look at the Optitec jockey wheel one.
I know our local Jayco said we could buy it they lend us the demo. If it works we swap for a new one otherwise money back.. Although do not think it will make it up our hill, rather not take the chance and it roll down :) .. Across the lawn from the street maybe be ok? Think around $1300~

These small wheeled ones still dig in and get bogged on wet grass. Ended up using a series of boards to manoeuvre the van across the grass. Now we have a bigger van (Penguin up to a 14.44-5 OB) we have to use UStore-It. Will give the motorised Jockey wheel to my son who has to wiggle his van into his large shed.

Will be getting the one that drives the wheels. Why start and finish a trip buggered from moving a caravan in the yard. We budgeted for it so not a problem. Another van we looked at getting was the same size but 10k dearer so we are way in front.
