Admin and the mods would like to run a photo competition on a monthly basis, the idea being that, come the end of the year we could produce a calendar with an Expanda/ touring theme using these photos, which would be made available to members at cost.
The photos would have to be your own photos, taken with a good resolution suitable for enlarging and printing, although a reduced size could be posted initially, and reflect some of your Expanda trips. The winner each month would get a free calendar at the end of the year.
Obviously, due to our late start, January and February will have to be run together or with a short time frame for each, as will November and December to enable them to be printed by Christmas.
The 4 moderators would be the judges but it has been suggested that a couple of times during the year we could throw open the judging to all members by using a poll. This would be dependant on the number of photos submitted that month.
At this point we would like feedback from members as to whether this would be supported, both in monthly entries and calendar purchases. If enough interest, then rules would be refined & defined ASAP and the comp started.
