Hi all,

As the title says, did a little search and didn't come up with much?? Are there many peeps using the fancy pegs or are you just going the old fashion way with a good solid peg?

I like the look and concept
of the Peggy Pegs but just not entirely sure on whether they are worth it, if you have them would like to know how many you got as well.

Cheers Max.

I know of a couple of guys in my 4WD club that have them (Peggy Pegs) but have never quite asked them what they think of them

like you @Herbertclan I looked into them, but never found a happy medium

although, I do like @Vere idea............. had never thought of that

Cheers bigcol,

Yes it seems to be a revolutionary piece of camping gear but just doesn't seem to be a global hit like one would of thought?? I guess everyone went to Santa's work shop and bought coach bolts! Might visit there on the weekend and have a look.

Screw type Pegs in WA sand is next to useless
I use wood bags (like the ones you get wood from at the servo), very light and never pull out
easy as.
In normal Grass, hard soil areas I use 40mm plastic pegs.

I tend to agree with you on this when we were coastal caravaning, the wood bags has me stumped though?? Are you filling these with sand??

I'm also looking at these options for when we travel out of state, back to the Wheatbelt when catching up with friends ect.

Please keep the opinions coming everyone:)

So far found them good. They are stupid expensive and if I replace any damaged ones I will only buy alloy the plastic definetly have a life. They hold better than coach bolts and I haven't tried them on beach sand yet but they have held average loads in softer red sand/dirt. Certainly not a gimmick.

Thanks @achjimmy

Just the kind of feedback I'm looking for, I looked at the plastic ones and liked the price but wondered how long they would last in firmer grounds. Agree they are crazy expensive!!

Cheers Max.
