Gyday,
Fantastic forum you have grown here!!
Has been a great help to us!
A few months back after years of research we upgraded our old van to a year young17.55.5shOB. We are absolutely wrapped with it.
Since owning it we have added a gas heater, surface mount bayonet ( much better than reaching under the muddy van to connect the webber) led lights to the bunks ,curtain across bunks, external Bluetooth speakers, bike carrier, boat canopy mounts on rear bar, bmpro battery monitor, Manson solar regulator , fridge thermometer, external access hatch for under the bed Aussie traveller afk , made a couple mesh annex walls and a few other little things.
Couple of mods still to come of course!

Cheers;)

@Pauly, any chance you could throw up a picture of the surface mount bayonet? Very interested in this particular mod.
Cheers

Had been super busy working before heading away for 2.5 weeks so didn't get half of the extras done that I wanted to but did get a chance to add some power sockets under the table , an outside light near the external shower, stone guard mkI and a bin on the A frame. Also slid some pvc pipe down the chassis rails for storage of sullage hoses.

Well after a blast of 12months with the discovery we waved it goodbye from our driveway on Friday still not knowing if we've done the right thing . Seems like a pipe dream at the moment but We are hoping to spend around 12 months travelling in 2018 so thought our girls whom will be 8 and 10 by then would benefit from having bunks that are permanently set up, their own 'space' if you like. We looked at the OB Starcraft 20' came super close to a new age manta ray 19bc, but size and weight wise know would restrict us with where we get to , so decided on an OB17.58.3 that we should see mid June . Can't come soon enough for us as we seam to do most of our travelling mid year( work gets in the way when the suns out). So very very excited to tick of all the sleeps on the calendar two at a time would be nice!!!...
Until then we will be in the swags
