Hey all, I have not been around for a bit. With the big holiday last year and then Xmas etc I have been a little strapped for time.

Well I am back now and seeking to tap the brains trust for some knowledge. Looking at driving from Nundle down to Port Macquarie via the Oxley Hwy in March.

Has anyone travelled this road? Whats it like and any thing I should know about? I understand its fairly winding and for me it will be a down hill run.

thanks in advance.

Absolutely brilliant road (if you're on a bike that is). Do this trip a couple of times a year although going up the Oxley to Walcha but as said, i do it on my Aprilia and NOT with a van. I have seen the odd van or 2 doing it. Nothing bad, just a lot of tight corners and downhill bits.
Just be sensible and don't cross over on the wrong side of the road around corners, take it easy and let others pass when you can and you will be fine. It's bike heaven down that range so there are always bikes there. 40+klm's of corners
