Hi All, Just a general enquiry. We currently have annex matting but its getting a bit scanky .. looking for a different floor I think. We have three kids so it gets pretty messy. What is your favourite and why?

We use a cgear mat..... Lets the sand fall back through but does get a bit slippery when wet (As I'd imagine most would?).
Better than the original Coast to Coast one we had previously.

the one from BCF....grey in colour....easy to clean and store.

Sand and dirt just go through but it's non slippery. We ditched the cgear mat as we found it very slippery and had to,be pegged down which was a pain. We thought it would be more suited to dirt camping rather than sand, which is what we mainly use it for.

I have to admit we now use those click together mats more and more as we're lazy!

We use the mat from Aldi, used them for 2 yrs and they have been getting a good work out from us for the last 3 months and no sign of wear, sweep loose stuff off, sand goes thru it, mud just washes off and you can whack a tent peg thru it and it doesn't tear....grass friendly also and we use 2 with Big Mal, $30 each GR8 stuff.

I have a Cgear and it is great BUT!! last year when I went to Ningaloo the sand fell through the top layer but got stuck in the middle of the two layers.
It took us about half a hour to shake all the sand out, this has not happened on any other beach and i suspect the coarseness of the sand was the culprit but it was annoying.
Other than that it is brilliant.
