Hi everyone, well today was the day. Dropped off our old (only 6 months old) eagle and replaced her with a brand spankin new 2015 16.49.3..
We couldnt be happier, have jist spent 3 hours annoying the neighbours with the radio blaring, hooking up the tv, tearing open afk boxes etc.
Started my first mod adding shelves to the wardobe, pics 2moro, next will be replacing screws in drawers and door locks with bigger ones as when we got home a couple of drawers had popped open... and thats with them empty!!
Wont be much time to do much else as we leave Thursday for our maiden voyage to forster and the entrance for 3 weeks. One thing ill be doing while away is resealing the bird poop silicone job done in the factory..
Cant wait to take her away, thanks everyone for their ideas and solutions this forum has been extremely helpful

Have fun with the new set up. You'll save lots of time and have far more comfort.

Enjoy.

Hi @gleeso , Congratulations. we are expecting one of these in February. I have purchased one but the Mrs has not actually seen one yet. Would it be possible for you to post some pics so I can show the Mrs? Or tell me where I can find links to your pics, I am relatively new to this!!!

Hi all,
An update on our van, picked ut up from jayco sydney on the 29th of december and travelled up to forster the next day, aftet a few days the list of issues started growing, some minor, some annoying considering you fork our a large some to buy new
1.fusion stereo surround sound not working
2.surface rust on chassis
3.bed ends leaking through hinge on hardlids into beds
4.microwave faulty
5.water leaking from shower/basin into kitchen
6 . moisture/water in awning strip light
7. Screw snapped off at gas strut when closing window, window cracked but advised before changeover that replacement had been ordered
8. Velcro on dining seats and cussions didnt line up and kept sliding.

Van has been at jayco for over a month, finally we picked it up yesterday. Happy to say that all issues have been fixed and jayco were very easy to deal with, my only issue is that we asked for van to be serviced and external table to be fitted but were told when we dropped van off that this couldnt be done as they were completely booked.. it sat there for a month, im sure they could have found the time especially when its a 2 hour frive for us to pick up and drop off!!

So the microwave and stereo were replaced, new fix fitted for hard lid hinge, rust fixed, around toilet cassette shower basin hard lids completely resealed, had bungy straps fitted to secure gas bottle cover, window replaced and strut fixed.
Great to have it back and be enjoying it through summer as we should be

new fix fitted for hard lid hinge

I know this leaking hinge has been an issue and mentioned on this forum many times but as today I wanted to check how water tight our bed end was I found that water just pours through the hinge and sits on the canvas above bed, some seemed to make its way down the sides and up the "snake hole" and wet the mattress.

I contacted Jayco Sydney and have booked it in for three weeks time to get it sorted before we go away for another trip. As we have a similar vintage and going back to the same dealer for the fix I was wondering what the "fix" was that they did for your van.
