Hey guys,

So I am planning a two week trip from Sydney in September. Looking at doing the Oodnadatta track. We did Uluru last year and left this off the itinerary. We have a 2016 18.58-2 Outback with Pajero.

Any tips or ideas for the trip would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

Just thought I would add to this post. We are extending tomhe trip to 3 weeks.

If anyone has an idea or had done it before, I would love to hear from you!

Oodnadatta track isnt really a track, its just a gravel road. Could drive anything on it with caution. Now if it rains its a different kettle of fish, it turns into a ice skating ring.
Great drive, we always divert off highway at Marla and go down it, much more interesting drive than hwy with lots and lots to look at.

Good stuff. The hwy is a bit long and boring!!

We where thinking of doing it although thought maybe not with the big van.
It rained back last Sep and it was closed anyway most of the way.
They just started grading it when we went through.. So I think apart from getting van/car organised you have to be lucky with conditions
