Only one 18 available next year. Sort of!

My dealer confirmed the 18-57-6 is to be dumped in 2014.

If the 57-9 is available with 1 or 2 hardlids, is that referring to front and rear? If so, then doesn't that make it a 57-6 if it has 1 hardlid (bed end)?
OR, is that the new type of ''side-lids'' that open left and right to enclose the side of the bed ends (having the hardlid still of course), rumoured to be in production from all the research and development complete?

We are looking to update to the 57-9OB in the next 18mths-2yrs. Will be interesting to see if it is still around considering how similar in layout it is to the 17.56-2
