Well best laid plans out the window. Was supposed to leave today but rushed back into Jayco with issues.

Slide out was jamming, TV aerial was not fixed on Tuesday so trying again. I have them working after hours (5:30pm Friday) and they really are trying / helping. But geez I was concerned earlier today.

I feel for you mate................................geez I'd be pis-sed............................but just sit back, don't get steamed, remember in a year or 2 it will be a dim memory amongst all the other things that will wreck plans/ upset lifestyle, it's not just a Jayco thing....one thing I've learnt after 60 + fun filled years.

Ok, so at 2pm yesterday as wife was packing the van. The slide out would twist on itself and jam. Just couldn't get the thing in / out. Having been serviced Tuesday this week I knew the staff at Jayco Sydney and was soon on the phone. Ironically I was already talkng to them as I was testing the TV airel with them and was the reason I went to slide it out.

So in short they recallibrated the slide out and all good. Awning above slide out is damaged so will see where we go. Front TV point still stuffed, and have put it down to a cabling issue between booster and the point. I will need to run a temp cable for the next few weeks.

Considering I got there at 3pm Friday, they worked until 5:45pm after hours , they were excellent. Sure not happy it happened, but they did everything they could. The front counter lady "Anaka" was excellent.

Yes I was cool , but this really had the chance of stuffing the whole holiday, but all good at this time.

Great news and great to get good service, can really make for a great holiday now, start off with a smile..........................TV cable I found a bad crimp on the cable where it screwed into the socket, crimped that hard it broke the wire, so had to replace the plug luckily they didn't scrimp on the cable.

Just get away and enjoy it. The inconvenience of running extra cables is easy to deal with if you're enjoying time away.

Better than getting fed up. You can then put together an extensive list, ready for Jayco when you get home and get it all done in the one go. Hopefully.

At least you know it's a possible problem before you go so it's not a nasty shock!

Picked my van up from Jayco Sydney after warranty repairs yesterday too. Very happy with the service, they were great.

Hoping your issues are now fixed Swerve, happy camping!

Hey,

Did they say anything about what caused it, apparently its good practice to hold the button down until you hear the motors stop, I read that somewhere on this forum but cant remember where.

Glad your all good to go now, have a great trip.
