We finally got around to getting a Weber Family Q for home over the weekend - and I am absolutely loving it!

Have cooked dinner on it the last 2 nights, and it really does do an excellent job! It's so huge compared to our Baby Q lol

Just need to get a longer handled cleaning brush for it, and a cover (they were out of stock :( )

They are an awesome bit of gear we have had ours a few months now and I'm looking forward to thrashing the guts out of it this Summer

PS just noticed your lid looks a bit different to mine

Well ours is apparently the new style / range - differences are the thermostat is now on an angle for better viewing?, the side tables are longer, and the grill plate has a thicker (shinier) coat on it, and the gas bottle area is more sturdy - although we have it hooked up directly to the house gas supply.

They are only minor differences really but the new model costs around $70 more than the previous one...

I have cooked on the new weber about 4 times this week - roast chook, kebabs, chops, ribs etc - it's brilliant! Only issue is we have a dodgy thermostat - the needle keeps 'sticking' on the same temp, then jumps 30 degrees all of a sudden etc - it's a bit painful when you are preheating it and roasting etc. But the good news is I rang Weber H/O and they are sending another thermostat out to me - didn't even ask for a receipt or serial number! Pretty good service I thought :)
