Hi Everyone, decided it was time to join the group, Jackie (the minister of finance) and I have been made keen campers for years, first in tents, then in a Camp-O-Matic and currently in a 2004 Trak Shak Deluxe which is on the market. We want to get into an 18-57.6 to accomodate our two rugs 10 & 12 and take them to see the wide open spaces out west and up north for a few months. We've been following the exploits of some of the members for a little while now and also checking out some of the mods, probs and tech tips which has been really interesting and enlightening to say the least.
To Burnsy, nice job on the re-wire and j-box (from an old time sparky), just a question, why? didn't Jayco have a j-box installed in the first place!, if not that is going into the memory bank for when we get ours, great idea.
Also loved reading some of the other ideas for chargers, solar panels and batteries, we're off grid campers from way back with the camper set up with 3 x 64watt solar panels, engel 32l fridge and Waeco 3 way and LED lighting so all that stuff interests us, look forward to more great reading and maybe meeting up with a few of you in our travels, glad to see everything turned out o/k in the end Burnsy with the van, talk soon, hope I haven't waffled too much Dave.
